Job Description:
A Landscape Installation Crew Member is responsible to work as a team to implement landscape installation throughout Boulder County. This implementation will include numerous skills ranging from proper demolition and site preparation, planting, irrigation, boulder setting, and various hardscapes. The Landscape Installation Crew Member needs to follow the instructions provided in construction plans and under the supervision of the Landscape Installation Crew Foreman. Attention to detail, self-sufficiency, and great work ethic are important. The Crew Member position has opportunity for advancement!
Position Requirements:
- Dependable transportation to work
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Able to lift and move at least 50lbs
- Masonry experience: 1 year (Recommended)
- Irrigation experience: 1 year (Recommended)
- Passion for growth and learning
Position Responsibilities:
- Small equipment usage
- Masonry installation
- Boulder setting
- Proper planting techniques

- Being prompt and punctual to work
- Follow and implement provided instructions
Experience:
- Landscape installation/construction: 1 year (Recommended)
- Hardscape construction: 1 year (Recommended)
- Open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED
Compensation:
- $18-21/hr.

Job Description:
A Project Manager/Estimator is responsible to lead a team of installation crew members to implement landscapes throughout Boulder County and vicinity. The Project Manager/Estimator Leader needs to be self-guided while following the instructions provided by construction plans.
The Landscape Installation Crew Foreman will report to the Project Manager/Estimator of the job progress. This is a full-time position. Attention to detail, self-sufficiency, and great work ethic are important.
Position Duties:
- Work diligently to meet deadlines and client expectation
- Work with on-staff designers and sub-contractor designers to prepare accurate budgets, estimates and proposals to conduct estimate and sales meeting to acquire installation contracts
- Assist with coordination and supervision of construction crews, including architects, civil and structural engineers, sub-contractors, and vendors
- Responsible for material ordering, scheduling delivery, and general logistics of landscape installation
- Creation and update of project schedule
- Perform regular site visits to installation projects to provide daily job progress reports
- Manage change orders
- Set daily and weekly expectations with Crew Leaders
- Perform client communications and customer service throughout the project as needed
- Be in command of quality control during job installation to minimize warranty expense
- Final invoicing of the project and providing a job tracking financial summary for each project
- Labor rate calculations and adjusting those rates as needed
- Equipment management
Position Skills:
- A working knowledge of local plants and hardscape materials as well as national product lines
- Knowledge and experience with local municipality permit requirements
- Landscape construction knowledge for all landscape services and elements: hardscape, retaining walls, drainage, basic understanding of low voltage lighting, water features, irrigation systems and ability to read blueprints
- Demonstrated ability to connect with people and successfully satisfy the needs of discriminating clients
- Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced team environment while managing multiple client and project requirements
- Ability to prioritize work according to requirements set forth by project requirements; strong scheduling, excellent organizational skills, and superb time management required
- Self-reliant, initiative-driven, and resourceful individual with problem-solving and critical thinking aptitudes
- Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and handle frequent interruptions
- Excellent math and computing skills, written and oral communication skills, and organizational skills
- AutoCAD, Dynascape, or other CAD landscape software and Microsoft Excel and Word computer application experience
Matrix Gardens is looking for a leader with great communication skills, positive attitude and good driving record. Spanish speaking is a plus.
Continue to advance your knowledge and growth of the landscape industry and current product trends by attending seminars, gaining certifications, taking classes, and reading related articles and books which are entitled for reimbursement or compensation.
Position Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license required and dependable transportation to work and to/from job sites
- Landscape Construction experience: 2-3+ years (Required)
- Project Management experience: 2-3+ years (Required)
- Estimating experience: 2-3+ years (Required)

Compensation:
- $26-28/hr.
