Christine Woods, Senior Designer

Chris joined Matrix Gardens in 2007, and has a degree in Horticulture, Landscape Design, and Horticultural Therapy. She has a strong commitment to client-driven and Earth-friendly landscape design, and enjoys collaborating with her clients to create a landscape that satisfies her clients’ needs and goals. She has won several ‘Excellence in Landscape’ awards from the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado for Sustainability. Chris is a founding member of the Front Range Sustainable Landscaping Coalition, a group which was formed in 2007 to research, educate and promote sustainable landscaping. She is a past board member for the local chapter of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers.
When Chris is not designing, she enjoys gardening on her property in Lafayette, hiking, traveling, singing and playing various instruments.

Kelsie Cady, Designer

Kelsie’s desire for being outside in nature goes back to when she was a little girl. Her first memories are running around barefoot in the garden or climbing the biggest dirt hill she could find. It was clear that her love for art and the outdoors was a path worth pursuing, which lead to a degree in Landscape Design at Colorado State University.

In her professional career she designed residential gardens, large commercial landscapes, worked in nursery greenhouses, and many things in-between. She has a passion for creating inviting spaces that have year-round color and that support the local birds and insects. Being a Boulder native, Kelsie is familiar with Colorado’s dry climate and is enthusiastic about sustainability and xeric plants that use low amounts of water.

Mackenzie Ehrenberg, Crew Lead

Mackenzie has installed landscapes for over 10 years. He has extensive experience in all phases of landscape installation from site preparation to a wide variety of masonry and irrigation – including trouble-shooting irrigation systems. He has extensive plant knowledge. When Mack is not in the field, he plays electric bass for a variety of local metal bands.

Matthew Fields, Estimator & Project Manager

Ever since Matt was “knee-high to a grasshopper,” he has shared an interest in plants and wildlife. Matt graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and now uses his love of plants and mathematics to craft precise estimates and construction documents for our installation team. He also aids the installation team by procurement, materials scheduling, and sub-contractor management to facilitate accurate landscape installations. Matt is detail-oriented and increases office efficiencies with his pragmatic, organized approach and excessive knowledge of Excel. He has been with Matrix Gardens for over five years.

Carly Harrison, Garden Care Manager & Plant Coordinator

Carly’s passion for plants and the natural world began as a young child but truly blossomed when she moved to Colorado from New England to attend an Herbal Medicine certification program. From there she began her 20 year-long career in Horticulture, Permaculture, Professional Gardening, Horticulture Management, Garden & Seasonal Container Design and most recently Interior Floral Design. Carly manages the Garden Care team and also handles plant ordering for the designers. She enjoys the mountain lifestyle, residing outside of Nederland with her furry four-legged companion, Ella Bear, who is often found with the garden care team.

In Memoriam

Alison Peck, Founder

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of Alison Peck, owner and creator of Matrix Gardens. Our dear Alison suffered a major stroke and passed away on April 15, 2021. It is a significant loss to the family, the company, the community, and the world in which she lived and created regenerative landscapes that benefit the Earth. We are honoring her by building the landscapes and designs she loved.

The employees at Matrix Gardens have worked alongside Alison for many years; she shared her values of beauty, knowledge, and sustainability with each of us: these were the pillars of her company. Her legacy will live on in all of us and the staff of Matrix Gardens that she believed in, hired, trusted, and mentored to bring her visions to life. We will continue moving through this with grace and ease, and we thank you for your support as we navigate these new waters.

Thank you for being a part of Alison’s vision that will carry on for generations to come.
Love to all from,
The Matrix/Peck Family
